On behalf of the ESER Scientific Committee, we are delighted to welcome you to Budapest for the 
2026 ESER Annual Scientific Meeting.The two and a half days of the ESER meeting will focus on both emerging and essential topics in emergency radiology. The scientific programme will explore the expanding role of artificial intelligence and large language models in emergency reporting, imaging in poisoning and special patiens, and traumatic and non-traumatic abdominal emergencies. In addition,
a dedicated session will share firsthand experience in neuro emergencies.Interaction and practical learning are central to ESER 2026, with workshops, quiz sessions, and ample time for discussion. 
The international faculty reflects the global nature of ESER, with experts from the Americas, Asia, Australasia, and Europe.Budapest, known for its rich history, striking architecture, and vibrant cultural life, provides an outstanding setting for scientific exchange and networking. A carefully designed social programme will allow participants to experience the city beyond the congress venue.

General Rules 

  • The deadline for abstract submission is July 24, 2026
  • A single individual may be listed as an author on an unlimited number of abstracts.
  • However, one individual may serve as the presenting author for no more than two abstracts.
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Please do not submit multiple versions of the same abstract. The uploaded abstracts should be the final version.
  • The submitting author will be informed by e-mail about the acceptance of his/her abstract soon after the evaluation process is complete.

 Scientific Presentation 

  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • The structure of the abstracts should include an introduction, methods, results and key conclusions.
  • The title of the abstract should be printed in initial capital letters followed by lower case.
  • Abbreviations should be defined by being placed in parentheses immediately after the full word or phrase has been typed for the first time.
  • 1-2 figures can be included

 Educational Exhibit (Poster) 

  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • The structure of the abstracts should include a background, three learning objectives and key conclusions.
  • The title of the abstract should be printed in initial capital letters followed by lower case.
  • Abbreviations should be defined by being placed in parentheses immediately after the full word or phrase has been typed for the first time.
  • 1-2 figures can be included

 Case Report 

  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
  • The structure of the abstracts should include a case presentation, discussion and conclusion.
  • The title of the abstract should be printed in initial capital letters followed by lower case.
  • Abbreviations should be defined by being placed in parentheses immediately after the full word or phrase has been typed for the first time.
  • 1-4 figures can be included

 Selected Oral Presentations The Scientific Committee selects abstracts for oral presentation to be presented in a scientific session of the program based on quality and topic.


E-Poster Area All other accepted abstracts will be displayed as electronic poster. Detailed instructions for uploading the poster on the e-poster system will be sent after the acceptance of the abstract.
